Selection criteria for admission to the training program

Access to arable land -
Candidates should be either a landowner or have access to land on which they are authorized to produce their own medicinal plants in the 3rd year of training.

Experience or deep interest in business and management -
Candidates with a strong business aptitude and entrepreneurial spirit will be favored.

Academic training and/or technical knowledge and experience in botany and/or agronomy -
Basic knowledge of botany and/or agronomy is a requirement. In addition, some past experience in botany and/or agronomy is considered a definite asset.

Curiosity – Initiative – Creativity - Meticulousness and Rigor -
These qualities will also be evaluated, as they are indispensable to the candidates’ success in this industry. Because the production of African medicinal plants for the food and pharmaceutical industries requires that producers follow strict International Standards, the candidates must respect and work within the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and other international regulatory codes.

Reliability -
Candidates should have a reputation for trust and reliability.
