The PharmAfrican / BDA Foundation tandem won the first prize of the SME Innovation Competition at the 3rd Summit of professionals Export held at the Chateau Laval on the 6th October 2008. The innovative business model "Blended Value" and the concern about having a "Triple Bottom Line": financial, environmental and social drew the attention of participants in this conference about Sustainable International Trade: Beyond Environment. The other two finalists in this 2008 competition are Electric cars of Quebec and Newmerical Technologies Int.

At the award ceremony, Ms. Carole Robert, President of PharmAfrican and board of the BDA Foundation, wished to thank her team, boards as well as partners and employees who contribute daily to the success of the project.
