The BDA Foundation is proud to present its project to the annual conference Beyond CSR.

Beyond CSR aims to raise the awareness amongst present and future organizational leaders on the many ways businesses can incorporate sustainable practices with sound economic strategy. By demonstrating how profitability and social responsibility are not mutually exclusive ideas, Beyond CSR hope to encourage greater consideration of environmental and social welfare in business decisions.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become increasingly recognized and embraced by companies as both an ethical obligation and as a strategic competitive advantage. In its second year, ‘Beyond CSR’ is an annual conference organized by students from the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management and HEC Montreal. This partnership reflects the growing approach and need of cooperative efforts in understanding how sustainability can be woven into the environmental, social and financial aspects of business. This one-day conference brings together leading professionals, academics, MBAs, and select undergraduate students to share experiences, present innovative ideas, and learn from each other.

Representatives from prestigious companies such as Cascades, Liberté, Hydro-Québec, Rio Tinto, Deloitte, Lafarge Canada, RES Americas will attend as speakers, along with organizations such as The Natural Step Canada, Convention on Biological Diversity, Canadian Petroleum Products Institute, Natural Gas Technologies Centre, MaRS, Challenge your World, Robin des Bois et Corporate Knights.
