Trade and Sustainable Development: the history of BDA's Ecopreneurs

In November 2008, 32 Congolese men and women left their homes, their communities, and their professional, social and family responsibilities to begin the training program that the BDA Foundation is launching in DRC. In their respective provinces of origin, they each have land on which they dream of producing the first African medicinal plants that meet international standards of quality assurance. Not only will this enable them to meet the needs of their communities, but also allow them to contribute to the development of a new, emerging, sustainable and responsible economy in Africa. Aware of the difficult challenges they face in the coming years, they fully accept the sacrifices they will make while carrying a real message of hope to their communities. They are men and women who believe in the potential of their human and natural heritage, and want to contribute to the development of their communities.Read more
